Terms of Service

Welcome to AhaDaily. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the AhaDaily mobile application ("App") and website (ahadaily.app), operated by Vic Yu ("we," "our," or "us"). By using AhaDaily, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.

1. About AhaDaily

AhaDaily is a discovery app that lets you photograph everyday objects and receive AI-generated quizzes and fun facts. You earn experience points, unlock badges, and build your collection of discoveries.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use AhaDaily. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you should review these Terms with your parent or guardian.

3. Your Account

• You sign in using Apple or Google OAuth. We do not handle passwords.
• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account.
• One account per person. Do not share your account with others.
• You can delete your account at any time (Settings → Account → Delete Account).

4. Your Content

Ownership: You retain ownership of all photos you upload to AhaDaily.

License: By uploading a photo, you grant AhaDaily a limited, non-exclusive license to process your photo for the purpose of generating quiz content. This includes sending the photo to our AI service provider (Google Gemini) for analysis.

Restrictions: You agree not to upload content that is:

• Illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, or harassing
• Infringing on the intellectual property rights of others
• Sexually explicit or exploitative
• Designed to harm or exploit minors

5. AI-Generated Content

• AI-generated content is provided for entertainment and educational purposes only
• It does not constitute professional, medical, legal, financial, or any other form of expert advice
• AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, errors, or outdated information
• We do not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated content
• You may report inappropriate or inaccurate AI content through the feedback mechanism in the App

6. Tokens and In-App Purchases

• AhaDaily uses a virtual currency ("Tokens") to access certain features
• Free tokens are provided through daily activities
• Additional tokens can be purchased through Apple App Store or Google Play ("In-App Purchases")
• All purchases are processed by Apple or Google, subject to their respective terms
• Tokens are non-transferable and have no real-world monetary value
• Refunds for In-App Purchases are handled by Apple or Google according to their policies
• Token prices may be adjusted at any time with notice

7. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use AhaDaily for any illegal purpose
• Upload illegal, harmful, or infringing content
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or hack the App
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the App
• Circumvent security measures, rate limits, or access controls
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity
• Interfere with the normal operation of the App

8. Intellectual Property

The AhaDaily brand, logo, user interface design, and source code are the intellectual property of Vic Yu. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without written permission.

AI-generated quiz content is not claimed as copyrighted work by AhaDaily.

9. Disclaimer of Warranties

AhaDaily is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to:

• Accuracy or reliability of AI-generated content
• Uninterrupted or error-free operation
• Fitness for a particular purpose
• Non-infringement

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Vic Yu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of AhaDaily.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the total amount you have paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

11. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. Upon termination:

• Your access to the App will be revoked
• Unused tokens will be forfeited
• We may delete your data in accordance with our Privacy Policy

You may terminate your account at any time by deleting it through the App.

12. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan), without regard to conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be submitted to the jurisdiction of the courts in Taiwan.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the App and update the "Last Updated" date above. Your continued use of AhaDaily after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
